Cycle Tracking for Beginners
Tracking your cycle for a few months gives you the information calculators need and helps you spot changes.
What to record
Write down the first day of each period, how long it lasts, and any changes in cervical mucus. If you use ovulation tests or temperature, add those too.
Working out cycle length
Count from the first day of one period to the day before the next. Average three or more cycles for a better estimate.
Using it
Enter your average cycle length into an ovulation or fertile window calculator to see your likely fertile days.
