Implantation: When It Happens and What It Feels Like
Implantation is when the developing embryo attaches to the lining of the uterus. It usually happens 6 to 12 days after ovulation, most often around days 8 to 10.
Implantation bleeding
Some people notice light spotting around this time. It is usually pink or brown and much lighter than a period, but many people have no bleeding at all.
Other signs
Mild cramps can happen, but they are hard to tell apart from premenstrual symptoms.
Testing after implantation
hCG only starts rising after implantation, so wait at least a few days afterwards, and ideally until your period is due, before testing.
